On August 6–7, 2024, the 19th International Medical Tourism Forum was held in St. Petersburg at the Cosmos Saint-Petersburg Pribaltiyskaya Hotel. The forum became one of the notable professional events in the industry, bringing together clinics, agencies, and representatives of the international medical community.
Among the participants was an AMILOT partner, the Almazov National Medical Research Centre. For the Association, it is especially important that its partners are actively represented at major international platforms dedicated to the development of medical tourism, strengthening professional ties, and expanding international cooperation.
The forum was held in the format of a b2b workshop and business meetings, allowing participants to focus on practical aspects of cooperation between medical organizations and foreign companies. The agenda included discussions on Russia’s potential as a medical tourism destination, key medical specializations, infrastructure for international patients, and the specifics of working in a challenging geopolitical environment.
Participation in the forum provided the Almazov National Medical Research Centre with an important opportunity to present its expertise to an international professional audience, exchange experience, and establish new business contacts. As a result of the event, promising areas of cooperation were outlined with partners from Türkiye, Bulgaria, Bahrain, the UAE, Uzbekistan, and Azerbaijan.
AMILOT supports the participation of its partners in specialized international events and views such platforms as an important tool for the development of medical tourism, the strengthening of expert dialogue, and the promotion of high-quality medical services at the international level.
